Mora out -- for real -- of UW coach search

Seattle radio station KJR-AM reported Wednesday that Jim Mora will not be the next Washington football coach, according to the Seattle Times.

Despite releasing a statement on Oct. 31 saying he wasn't a candidate to replace Tyrone Willingham, persistent chatter in Seattle was that he was still in the mix.

Mora, the designated heir to Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren at the end of the 2008 season, played for Washington under Don James.

As far as who is a candidate, various reports have confirmed that Texas Tech coach Mike Leach and Fresno State coach Pat Hill as well as USC offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian and Notre Dame assistant Michael Haywood have interviewed for the job.
