Waaaaahhh.... links.... waaaaaahhh.

  • New Washington coach Steve Sarkisian has hired California offensive line coach Jim Michalczik as the Huskies new offensive coordinator, which makes it a dead certainty that the woeful running game will improve. Still no word on whether USC assistant Rocky Seto will follow Sarkisian and become the Huskies defensive coordinator.

  • The Las Vegas Bowl is a homecoming of sorts for Arizona quarterback Willie Tuitama. Both teams have plenty to play for on Saturday.

  • Arizona State is saying goodbye to a preseason tradition.

  • This is a bit dated: California center Alex Mack won the Draddy Award, which celebrates the player who best personifies a student-athlete. It's often called the Academic Heisman, and it's the most underrated award in college sports.

  • Who's going to be USC's quarterback in 2009?

  • Got lots of questions about the Pac-10's bowl lineup -- i.e., its mediocre bowls? Jon Wilner does a good job here explaining why things are as they are and how difficult it will be to change things.
