The SEC is dominating ESPN Stats & Info's conference power rankings, but the Pac-12 has moved past the Big Ten into third place behind the SEC and Big 12.
The Pac-12, which trailed the Big Ten by 0.7 points last week, is now up three points on the Big Ten. The Pac-12 increased its lead over the fifth-place ACC to 16 points from 11.1.
The difference is USC rising from 18th to No. 10 in The Associated Press poll. The Pac-12 ranks third in the AP poll but is fifth with the computers, even behind the ACC. The Big Ten is third with the computers but fourth with the human polls.
We may have to settle the Pac-12-Big Ten pecking order in the Rose Bowl, eh?
