ASU beats USC for RB commitment

Arizona State beat out USC for running back D.J. Foster (Scottsdale, Ariz./Saguaro) on Friday.

It was a nice recruiting win for new coach Todd Graham and the Sun Devils, and a setback for USC, which has depth issues at running back.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Foster not only bolsters the Sun Devils recruiting class, which appeared to be flagging since the firing of Dennis Erickson, but it also means one of the best players in the state is staying home. Losing in-state talent has long been an issue for Arizona State (and Arizona as well).
