Last week, we gave you our thoughts on who we thought was the second best coach in the Pac-12. This sparked a little chatter -- which, of course, is the only reason we write Take 2s.
Kevin Gemmell and Ted Miller both agree that Oregon coach Chip Kelly is the top of the class. Behind him, Gemmell went with Utah coach Kyle Whittingham, aka The Bulldozer, citing his years of consistency, BCS achievements and postseason record.
Miller went with new Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez, also noting BCS success and Rodriguez's reputation as a great offensive mind.
Did we pick the wrong guys?
After all, Stanford's David Shaw is the sitting Pac-12 coach of the year and he handled the transition from Jim Harbaugh with poise and success.
What about USC coach Lane Kiffin. Rumor is that guy has a pretty good team this year.
How about new Washington State coach Mike Leach? He revolutionized the game with a passing attack that produces monster numbers.
So which coach do you think should be No. 2 in the rankings?
