Oregon finished ranked second in both the AP and coaches polls, leading the three ranked Pac-12 teams.
That matches the Ducks' highest finish in program history. They were second behind No. 1 Miami after the 2001 season. This is Oregon's third consecutive top-5 final ranking.
Stanford, stuck with a lackluster Rose Bowl foe in now six-loss Wisconsin, finished ranked seventh in the AP poll and sixth with the coaches.
The Pac-12 blog thinks Stanford is significantly underrated in the final polls.
Oregon State is the only other Pac-12 team in the poll. The Beavers, who lost to Texas in the Alamo Bowl, finished ranked 20th in the AP poll and 19th with the coaches.
UCLA, ranked 17th in the pre-bowl polls, fell out after getting pounded by Baylor in the Holiday Bowl. Among the teams also receiving votes, the Bruins were the equivalent of 31st and 27th.
Arizona State and Arizona also received votes in the coaches poll.
