UCLA recruiting closing strong

UCLA's recruiting class, presently ranked 17th by ESPNU, may be moving up.

The Bruins need defensive linemen, and Rick Neuheisel secured a commitment Tuesday night from one of the best in California: Cassius Marsh (Westlake Village, Calif./Oaks Christian).

Marsh, who has a scholarship offer from USC, among many others, had previously been committed to LSU and California, so save the confetti for signing day on Feb. 3, but Marsh sounded firm with ESPN.com's Greg Biggins.

"USC is still recruiting me but I'm solid, I'm a Bruin," Marsh said. "Coach (Ed) Orgeron came to our school last week and I talked with him but I'm done and I'm ready to sign and move on to the next chapter in my life. It was a wild ride but I'm thrilled to be home, that's what this feels like."

Here's a take on Marsh.
