Reaction to Arizona's Alamo Bowl flop

It's hard to find a positive spin for Arizona after an embarrassing 36-10 whipping in the Valero Alamo Bowl, and not many folks tried. It didn't help coach Mike Stoops and company that the Wildcats went down 33-zip to Nebraska in last year's Holiday Bowl.

Or that Arizona heads into the offseason having lost five consecutive games. Or that rival Arizona State appears to be on the cusp of a breakout season in 2011.

The Cornhuskers were better than the Wildcats in 2009. The Cowboys just seemed more focused and better prepared.

"We have to re-evaluate all aspects of our program," Stoops told reporters. "Coaching, personnel. … We should've played better than we did."
