Seven Pac-10 players are among the 57 FBS players selected as semifinalists for the 2008 Draddy Trophy, which recognizes outstanding players who also excel in the classroom.
Schools are limited to one nominee each. Semifinalists must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of eligibility, have a GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, have outstanding football ability as a first-team player or significant contributor, and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship.
The Pac-10 semifinalists are: Arizona State LB Anthony Reyes, California C Alex Mack, Oregon DE Nick Reed, Oregon State OT Andrew Levitre, UCLA TE Logan Paulsen, USC OG Jeff Byers, and Washington State OG Vaughn Lesuma.
