Huskies take a couple of roster hits

Washington's depth on the offensive and defensive lines has taken a hit after coach Steve Sarkisian announced that a pair of backups, center Mykenna Ikehara and defensive end Kalani Aldrich, have opted to "retire" due to knee injuries.

Aldrich, a fifth-year senior, played in 25 games over the past three seasons -- starting once -- and recorded 10 tackles and half a sack. Ikehara, a redshirt junior, started one game -- versus California in 2009.

Sarkisian said both will remain in school on scholarship.
