Vick has praise for Eagles' Foles, Kelly

Michael Vick recently participated in Ron Jaworski’s Celebrity Golf Challenge and discussed a variety of subjects with Comcast SportsNet’s Derrick Gunn.

Vick, who was replaced as the Eagles' starter by Nick Foles last season, joined the New York Jets in the offseason.

On Foles: “Nick is a great kid, he's smart and he takes the game seriously. I'll talk to him around training camp and throughout the season and make sure he's got his head on level. I think him having the chance to play last year and have a lot of success ... now he knows what's required of him here on out.”

More on Foles: "It's pressure for every QB in the NFL, whether you have the hardest schedule or the easiest schedule. As the year goes on it's going to get tougher and I think he understands that and as long as he takes that in and soaks it all in, I think it will be OK.”

On coach Chip Kelly and the acquisition of Darren Sproles: “Chip Kelly is going to do what's right. He's a very smart coach and he knows what it takes to bring out the best in his players, motivate them and get them in shape, so I'm pretty sure he'll have a special package for [Sproles]. Darren Sproles and Shady McCoy ... that's kind of dangerous.”
