The Philadelphia Eagles have depth at a number of positions.
Especially at tight end.
Celek had a strong season with 32 catches for 502 yards and six touchdowns. Ertz completed his rookie season with 36 receptions for 469 yards and four touchdowns. A second-round pick in 2013, Ertz improved steadily throughout the season.
“The encouraging thing for Zach is, when you see him in the building, you can see how much broader he’s gotten and how much he’s worked on his body,” Eagles general manager Howie Roseman told the website. “We talk about all the time [him] missing that month [of organized team activities last year] based on his school schedule, and that’s hard. I think you saw him continue to grow throughout the season.”
According to Philadelphiaeagles.com, Celek took 845 snaps (77 percent), while Ertz had 450 snaps (41 percent). Casey played 154 snaps all season, but 58 of them came in the final two games against Chicago and Dallas.
