Brett Keisel practices on a limited basis

PITTSBURGH -- Defensive end Brett Keisel practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday as he tries to return to the starting lineup from a foot injury that has plagued him since early November.

Keisel has missed four of the last five games but he is on track to play Sunday at Green Bay. Nose tackle Steve McLendon (ankle) is also expected to return to the lineup against the Green Bay Packers after missing the Pittsburgh Steelers' 30-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday night.

McLendon practiced fully on Wednesday as only one player didn’t practice because of an injury.

The Steelers held wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (shoulder) out of drills as a precaution while strong safety Troy Polamalu and tight end Heath Miller were given maintenance days.

In addition to Keisel, the Steelers limited right tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) in practice.

Left tackle Kelvin Beachum (knee) and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot) were both full participants in practice.
