Drafted in the first round out of the University of Connecticut in 2006, forward Rudy Gay is a big reason for the Memphis Grizzlies' hot start.

Now in his seventh season, the 26-year-old Baltimore native is averaging 19 points per game. The Griz are in Utah tonight to take on the Jazz.

If you were a talk-show host, which celebrity would you want as your first guest?

Justin Timberlake. I just think he’s funny and cool. Or Will Ferrell. I’m a big fan of Will Ferrell.

If you could go to dinner with one person, dead or alive, whom would it be?

Martin Luther King Jr. Just because of the things he fought through and the things he fought against. No matter what people said, he still went out there every day, and he was passionate. Anybody who can influence American culture that much is obviously an important person.

We’d go to Crustaceans in L.A. I’d want all the paparazzi to see us together.

What place in the world do you most want to visit?

Ibiza. It’s an island off Spain. I heard it’s the party island, so I want to go there.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Paula Patton. I’m in love with her. But she’s married.

What talent would you most like to have?

Swimming. I’ve never learned how to do that.
