The Spurs have not lost a game since April 11, 2012. The world was a very different place back then. It’s hard to even remember those days. But let's try anyway.

Take a trip down memory lane with us and see if you can remember these 11 things that were true about this planet way back then.

  • A player by the name of Albert Pujols was considered to be the premier hitter in baseball.

  • Newt Gingrich was running for president.

  • Jack Quinn was the oldest pitcher to have won a Major League Baseball game.

  • Tupac had not performed in more than 15 years.

  • There was no playoff system at the highest level of college football. In fact, the championship game was determined solely by a computer.

  • Secret Service Agent was one of the most respected jobs in America.

  • The Philadelphia Flyers were the favorites to win the Stanley Cup.

  • Nicolas Sarkozy was president of France.

  • John Beck and Jonathan Crompton were the youngest quarterbacks on the Redskins’ roster.

  • Facebook was a privately owned company run by a hoodie-wearing single guy.

  • The Charlotte Bobcats were just three and a half weeks removed from a win.

Wow. What an amazing time capsule of information. I'm going to ask my grandparents to tell me more about what life was life back then. Yay for history!
