Vote for inaugural members of Hall of Fans

There are national Halls of Fame for mostly everything in sports, from baseball and basketball to mascots and Canadian motorsports.

Now the fans who support these sports have their very own Hall of Fame.

Voting is now open for the first class of the Hall of Fans, which highlights fans with a compelling or inspiring story of extraordinary fandom and loyalty to their teams. The ten finalists will campaign on social media for the original three spots in the Hall, which is sponsored by ESPN and StubHub.

The three fans with the most votes on Friday, Aug. 31, will be enshrined at ESPN's headquarters in Bristol, Conn., in September.

The ten finalists span various sports and parts of the country. One is recovering from serious car accident; another themed his wedding to his favorite team. The team teams represented in the voting are the Alabama Crimson Tide, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Golden State Warriors, Indiana Hoosiers, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia Eagles, Vancouver Canucks and Wisconsin Badgers.
