Each week, we will simulate one big-ticket college football game on “NCAA Football 13.” For video of the simulation, courtesy of EA Sports, click above.
In our first “NCAA 13” simulation of the season, Alabama almost saw its chances of repeating as national champion take a serious hit against visiting Michigan. But a fourth-quarter explosion, led by running back Eddie Lacey, helped the Crimson Tide escape with a 27-17 victory over the Wolverines.
Trailing 17-10 entering the fourth quarter, Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron found Kenny Bell for a 7-yard touchdown to tie the game with 12:50 remaining in the game. After an Alabama stop, Lacey broke free for a 46-yard touchdown run to put Alabama up for good. A 43-yard field goal by Cade Foster with 2:07 left sealed the victory.
Lacey was the star of the game, finishing with 146 rushing yards and two scores.
Michigan’s Denard Robinson went 13-for-22 for 156 yards and a touchdown, in addition to 63 rushing yards and a score. Jeremy Gallon caught Robinson’s touchdown pass.
