First thing that jumps out about the “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14: Masters Historic Edition” (besides its incredibly long-winded title) is the fact that Tiger himself is nowhere on the cover (and even his name is now in small print along the bottom of the box). In his place is Bobby Jones, who will be an exclusive character to this deluxe version, along with Bubba Watson.
Also unique to the “Masters Historic Edition” is the ability to play the 1934 version of the Augusta National Golf Club, in addition to 24 other championship courses that will be featured in the deluxe version of the game (only 20 courses are playable in the standard edition). But EA Sports is still keeping the names of those courses under wraps at this point.
And while Tiger’s mug is absent from the “Masters” cover, Woods and Arnold Palmer will appear on the cover of the standard edition of “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14,” scheduled to ship early next year for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
