Olympic swimming champion Ryan Lochte hasn't slowed down since winning five medals at the London Summer Games.

Celebrity events. Magazine covers. Cameos on TV shows "90210" and "30 Rock." Even working on a clothing line.

And on Friday, Lochte was in South Boston visiting the Boys & Girls Club as part of Gillette's "Get Started" campaign to inspire young people to achieve their dreams and goals.

"I always love giving back and I consider myself a big kid," said the 28-year-old Lochte, who was born in New York and lived most of his life in Florida. "I hung out with the kids and teached them about working through their struggles and trying hard to reach for anything."

Lochte, who now has won 11 Olympic medals and now has paparazzi following him, is still getting used to his new-found celebrity.

"You must embrace every opportunity and have fun with it," he said. "There is no point in living your life miserably. I try to enjoy everything coming my way."
