Louie Vito might be only 5-foot-5 but he's always been a big man when it comes to snowboarding. He's back in Breckenridge, Colo., this week for Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships.
Vito is joined by Shaun White, Scotty Lago and a host of others competing in the tour on the way to the Dew Cup.
"I like the way I'm built. I have tree trunks for legs and a big booty to match," said Vito, who has four X Games medals and is a two-time Winter Dew Cup overall champion. "I'm really built for this sport. I have a powerful punch for my short stature."
Vito has been working nonstop but is stoked to get back on the snow.
"I'm trying to have longevity in my career so I needed to take some breaks," said the 24-year-old from Columbus, Ohio. "I'm not thinking snowboarding 24-7. I hang with my friends. I make films. I want to stay healthy and enjoy this."
Vito isn't thinking about a career outside snowboarding, but college is always in the back of his mind.
"A lot of my friends have graduated and have moved on to their careers," he said. "I'd probably be studying business or marketing. My dad runs a bunch of radio stations. Maybe I could do that? I do love to talk."
If you're in Breckenridge, Vito will be at the Team Toyota Tent signing tent for autographs Friday 2-3 p.m. MT and Saturday 3-4 p.m. MT.
