NEW YORK -- It's not just Knicks superstars Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony working together these days.
It's their kids too.
On Friday night, Stoudemire's three children and Anthony's son were part of a kids' fashion show to mark the opening of Rookie USA, a high-end children's clothing store on the Upper West Side.
The 5,500-square-foot store, the first in the United States, carries one of the world’s largest assortments of Nike Kids and Jordan athletic footwear, and Levi’s jeans. It also features an iPad kiosk, a Kinect virtual sports station, a photo booth (where kids can customize their own sports cards) and a virtual basketball court.
"The kids are super excited, and I'm so happy my son is in this show!" said La La Anthony, Carmelo's wife. "It's so much fun watching all these kids wear these amazing clothes."
Other children in the show included those of Anthony's Knicks teammate Tyson Chandler, Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams and New York Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia.
"This is great for the children. They can come out and enjoy themselves and wear these great fashions normally for adults," Stoudemire said. "I haven't given out too much advice to my kids, except for them to have fun. My youngest was a little nervous."
