UEFA EURO 2012, one of soccer's top international competitions, kicks off June 8. In anticipation of this eagerly awaited event, Playbook is teaming up with ESPNFC to offer sights and other delights from each participating nation.
Today: Co-host country Poland, and its feverish supporters -- plus, a listen to the nation's official Euro 2012 song.
As for the 2012 Euro anthem, those same supporters supposedly aren't all on board. Called "Koko Koko Euro Spoko" and sung by Jarzebina -- an 18-member group that includes several grandmothers -- this folk-inspired tune beat out several pop tracks on a TV contest to become the official song. And reports indicate the choice been divisive in Poland.
One thing that's not divisive, though: Poland supporters' desire to show well in this special Euro 2012.
