MLB legends putting stamp on postage race

Four Major League Baseball legends -- Ted Williams of the Boston Red Sox, Joe DiMaggio of the New York Yankees, Willie Stargell of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Larry Doby of the Cleveland Indians (and other teams) -- soon will find themselves on envelopes and in stamp collections through the United States Postal Service's new All-Stars set.

And although those stamps won't be released until July 21, we have some sales stats: After a month of preorders, Williams (14,380 sold as of early Tuesday) is leading his Yankees rival DiMaggio (10,100), with Stargell (5,920) in third and American League pioneer Doby (4,700) in fourth.
