Jeremy Lin is a Houston Rocket.
Jeremy Lin also was a Houston Rocket -- for almost two weeks last December, appearing in two preseason games before being waived on the eve of the 2011-12 season.
Of course, there's not an overwhelming photo/video record of that fortnight; back then, Lin was just an undrafted guard from Harvard, not an international sensation. But there were a few shots and clips taken during his eight-minute, six-point (first?) stint in Houston:
The above shot comes from Lin's second game in Houston, and is one of the few professionally taken photographs of his time as a Rocket man. This was Lin's most prolific performance, as he scored six points in six minutes (on 3-of-3 shooting). He also hit a clutch, game-tying layup, only to be upstaged by rookie Kawhi Leonard's game winner.
Although Lin didn't spend much time in Houston, he did arrive just in time for media day portraits:
Lin also showed what he could do in this open-to-the-media scrimmage, sinking a pair of free throws and then playing solid, buzzer-beater D:
Then there was his appearance at Houston's mid-December open practice ...

And how could we forget -- Lin also participated in an open-practice dance-off:
And did the Macarena:
