July 19, 1960 and 1964: The former date saw the debut of eventual Hall of Famer Juan Marichal (top, seen in the 1960s), who allowed just one hit in the San Francisco Giants' 2-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. The latter brought the first game of Luis Tiant (bottom, also seen in the '60s), who allowed four hits in his Cleveland Indians' 3-0 win over the New York Yankees. Marichal struck out 12. Tiant 11. Both went the distance.
Not a bad way to start two careers.
