Yearbook, July 22: Greg LeMond's 3rd Tour

July 22, 1990: On this day 22 years ago, American Greg LeMond added to his legacy by winning his third Tour de France; he was the first rider from the U.S. to win even one. A guy named Lance Armstrong came along and won a few more (albeit with controversy). But LeMond -- pictured left, with competitor Claudio Chiappucci -- was the original American cyclist.
