Yearbook, Aug. 27: Rickey gets the record

Aug. 27, 1982: It was 30 years ago today when Rickey Henderson swiped second base off Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Doc Medich, breaking Lou Brock's modern record for steals in a season (118 at the time). Henderson went on to swipe three more bases in the game -- after which the above celebratory media conference took place (with Brock in attendance) -- and 130 overall for the season, still MLB's best mark. (Although Billy Hamilton might have something to say about that.)
