Offensive analysis – A little surprised to see that Woodhead played more than Mathews by just a snap. Mathews carries the ball 285 times in 2013 on 456 plays, or 62.5 percent of the time. ... San Diego’s offensive line allowed 60 quarterback hits during the regular season (fifth-best in the NFL) and 30 sacks (tied for fourth-best in the league) ... Gates’ 921 snaps is the most he’s played in a season in at least six years. ... The Chargers finished No. 2 in the NFL in fourth-down conversion rate (83 percent). ... Rivers is second to Eli Manning (151) among active quarterbacks in consecutive games played with 129.
