Colin Kaepernick running toward history

Colin Kaepernick has played in just four playoff games.

However, the San Francisco 49ers' quarterback is already one of the all-time best running quarterbacks in postseason history.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, Kaepernick has accumulated the fifth most rushing yards in the playoffs in league history. He has 362 rushing yards in four playoff games. Former 49ers’ quarterback Steve Young is the NFL’s all-time leading rushing quarterback in the postseason. He had 594 yards in 20 games. John Elway had 461 in 22 games, Roger Staubach had 432 in 19 games and Donovan McNabb had 422 yards in 16 games.

Kaepernick had 227 passing yards and 98 rushing yards in the 49ers’ 23-20 win at Green Bay on Sunday. According to Elias Sports Bureau, it’s the fourth time in playoff history a player has thrown for 200 yards and run for 95 in the same game. The last time it was done was by Kaepernick against the Packers last year.
