The NFL released the preseason schedule on Thursday. Dates and times haven’t been announced, but here’s a first look at the opponents for the Seattle Seahawks:
Week 1 (Aug. 11-15) at Kansas City Chiefs
When the Seahawks open the preseason, the biggest question will be: Who is playing? Tight end Jimmy Graham (ruptured patellar tendon) and running back Thomas Rawls (fractured ankle) are recovering from season-ending injuries in 2015. Will either guy play against the Chiefs?
Week 2 (Aug. 18) vs. Minnesota Vikings
A rematch of the wild-card game from a year ago when Blair Walsh missed a potential game-winning field goal, and the Seahawks advanced to face the Carolina Panthers in the divisional round. Unlike that game, this one won't be played in the frigid Minneapolis air. Seattle weather in August should be rather pleasant.
Week 3 (Aug. 25-28) vs. Dallas Cowboys
The dress rehearsal will take place at CenturyLink Field against the Cowboys. Jason Garrett will have to decide whether to get Tony Romo some meaningful snaps or sit him against Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril and the Seahawks' pass rush.
Week 4 (Sept. 1) at Oakland Raiders
Bruce Irvin doesn't have to wait long to face his former team. Last summer, the Seahawks went deep into the preseason trying to find the right offensive line combination. With Irvin and Khalil Mack in Oakland, the five guys up front will get tested in the preseason finale.
