RENTON, Wash. -- Most Seattle Seahawks fans probably expect the team to select an offensive lineman in the first round, but ESPN’s Mel Kiper has Seattle taking Penn State wide receiver Allen Robinson.
Even if Percy Harvin is 100 percent healthy next season, it makes sense to add a big receiver, something the Seahawks don’t have.
Sidney Rice, who has been out since midseason with a torn ACL, is the only tall receiver for the Seahawks. Rice has two years left on his contract, but his time in Seattle may be over. Robinson is 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with good speed.
One offensive lineman the Seahawks are believed to have an interest in is Tennessee tackle Antonio Richardson (6-6, 330), but Kiper has Richardson going to the Saints earlier in the first round.
