SEC players on the 2011 Big Board

No big surprise, but it looks like it could be another big year for the SEC in the 2011 NFL draft.

ESPN's Mel Kiper has six SEC players, including four in the top 10, on his Big Board of the top NFL prospectsInsider for next year.

Georgia receiver A.J. Green is his top SEC prospect at No. 4. Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett is No. 6, Alabama defensive end Marcell Dareus No. 7 and LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson No. 10.

Two more Alabama players made the cut -- running back Mark Ingram at No. 11 and receiver Julio Jones at No. 17.

Kiper has Washington quarterback Jake Locker as his No. 1 overall prospect.

Of the six SEC prospects listed, all six are juniors. Moreover, notice which SEC team isn't represented on Kiper's Big Board?

Florida.

It's been a while since you could say that about the Gators, although it's very likely that somebody could play his way onto that list by next December.

Senior center/guard Mike Pouncey would be right on the cusp.
