It was supposed to be a productive day for Alabama, and it has been to this point.
Among the players Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have closed the deal with on Wednesday are linebacker Tana Patrick of Stevenson, Ala., running back Eddie Lacy of Geismar, La., and offensive lineman Brandon Moore of Montgomery, Ala.
It's already a top 10 class for the Crimson Tide, but it could get even better later on Wednesday.
Alabama is the leader for cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick of Gadsden, Ala. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Kirkpatrick is the No. 1-rated cornerback prospect in the country.
The one that's keeping all the Tide fans on their toes is running back Trent Richardson of Pensacola, Fla. He's delayed his announcement until later this afternoon. He's an Alabama commitment, but started looking at Florida and LSU late. Richardson is rated as the No. 1 running back prospect in the country by Scouts Inc.
The biggest disappointment for Alabama on Wednesday was losing offensive tackle Bobby Massie of Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy.
