With Alabama running back Mark Ingram practicing some Monday, the next question becomes: How much does he play Saturday against Duke?
Better question, does he play at all?
Alabama coach Nick Saban made it clear Monday that nothing had been decided and that Ingram would be evaluated throughout the week. If he's able to practice at full speed this week, he'll probably play some. If not, I doubt he plays much at all.
The Crimson Tide shouldn't need him to beat Duke. But in an ideal world, it's probably best that Ingram get a few live snaps in a game before Alabama goes to Arkansas the following week. It's been a while since he's had full contact.
Ingram's one of those running backs that thrives on contact. He wears on a defense with his ability to break tackles. But not even Ingram can jump right back into a game after coming off knee surgery and pick up where he left off.
