Linebacker A.J.Johnson of Gainesville, Ga., committed to Tennessee the first time when Lane Kiffin was the coach.
When Kiffin left for Southern California, Johnson started looking around again. His search brought him right back to Tennessee, making him the Vols' highest-rated commitment for the 2011 class and their only ESPNU 150 prospect to this point.
The 6-3, 235-pound Johnson said he hit it off with first-year coach Derek Dooley and that his reasons for sticking with the Vols extended beyond football. He's rated by ESPN as the No. 6 inside linebacker prospect nationally and the No. 148 overall prospect.
He had a long list of other schools chasing him, including Florida, Southern California, Miami and Clemson. Tennessee now has 15 commitments.
