Altercation led to Moody's release from Georgia

As previously reported by several media outlets, an open records request confirmed that linebacker signee Dexter Moody was released by Georgia because of an altercation at his high school.

Moody, a member of the ESPNU 150 team, told The Athens Banner-Herald earlier this week that he and a Chemistry teacher got into an argument.

Georgia coach Mark Richt gave Moody an unconditional release, meaning he's free to sign with any team he chooses. Moody was rated by Scouts Inc. as the 10th best outside linebacker prospect in the country.
