That choke sign we thought we saw coming from Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham on the sideline last Saturday just as Florida's Chas Henry was about to kick the game-winning 37-yard field goal in overtime was indeed a choke sign.
Georgia coach Mark Richt acknowledged as much Tuesday during his weekly press conference, although he wasn't necessarily apologizing for it.
"I'll just say that emotions run high," Richt said. "People do things they probably wish they didn't do, so I think that (the choke sign) was what was being communicated. I don't think he's necessarily proud of it. We're just going to learn from it and move on."
Henry said following the game that some of the Georgia coaches were yelling at him and saying that he was going to choke.
