Six SEC assistants nominated for Broyles

Six SEC assistant coaches are among the 36 nominees for the 2010 Broyles Award, which is presented annually to the top assistant coach in college football.

Making the list of nominees were LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis, South Carolina running backs coach Jay Graham, Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain, Arkansas offensive coordinator Garrick McGee and Kentucky offensive coordinator Randy Sanders.

The five finalists will be announced on Monday, and the winner will be announced on Dec. 6 in Little Rock, Ark. Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart was the winner of the 2009 Broyles Award.
