There have been reports that Georgia running back Caleb King could be an academic casualty for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
The Bulldogs practiced for the final time Tuesday prior to Christmas, and Georgia coach Mark Richt declined to get into specifics about King's status. King has been taking reps behind Washaun Ealey and Carlton Thomas in practice.
"We'll know on all that for sure (Wednesday)," said Richt, noting that's when the final grade report would be in. "I'm not going to make any comment. I’ll probably be on vacation tomorrow. Maybe at the bowl site, you can ask me."
Richt said senior defensive end Brandon Wood (shoulder) and senior fullback Shaun Chapas (ankle) have been ruled out for the game. However, Richt does expect senior defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (forearm) and sophomore receiver Rantavious Wooten (leg) to be able to play.
