It sounds like the Georgia coaching staff has some patching up to do with Carver High School in Columbus, Ga.
Dell McGee, the coach at Carver, has banned Georgia coaches from recruiting his players after he said the Bulldogs rescinded a scholarship offer to his quarterback, Devin Burns. McGee was especially upset that the whole thing happened when Burns was on Georgia's campus and had his family with him so he could commit to the Bulldogs.
Talk about bad timing.
Granted, there are always two sides to these recruiting misunderstandings. And the truth is that players change their minds all the time and bail out on schools, often at the last minute.
But when a school changes its mind and bails on a player, it's sure to raise a few more eyebrows.
Either way, the Bulldogs have a bit of a mess to clean up.
