Upon further review, it appears Florida quarterback John Brantley's spring game performance wasn't as bad as most thought.
After reviewing film of multiple spring games, five players/position groups stood out as the best playmaker candidates to ESPN's KC Joyner.
Brantley made that list.
Joyner goes beyond Brantley's 4-of-14, 45-yard passing performance and keys in on the fact that Brantley tried to stretch the field more often in Florida's spring game than he did during the regular season.
It's still too early to tell what kind of player Brantley will be this fall, but with Charile Weis installing his pro-style offense, he figures to be more successful than he was in the spread offense under former offensive coordinator Steve Addazio.
