Alabama, Florida top early SEC recruiting

The recruiting folks at ESPNU have their latest class rankings out, and Alabama and Florida are both in the top 5.

The Crimson Tide are No. 3 and the Gators No. 4. Florida State, which beat out Alabama and LSU for top quarterback prospect Jameis Winston on Wednesday, sits atop ESPNU's latest rankings.

LSU (No. 9) and Auburn (No. 10) also cracked the top 10, and South Carolina (No. 15) gives the SEC five teams in the top 15.

Georgia checked in at No. 16 and Vanderbilt at No. 23. The Commodores already have four four-star prospects committed under first-year coach James Franklin and have stockpiled some much-needed speed in the 2012 class.
