Tennessee coach Derek Dooley has one request before the college football landscape is completely reshaped.
He just wishes everything would slow down.
“I hope we have a lot of dialogue on this issue before we make these decisions,” Dooley said. “What concerns me is the pace these decisions are being made without thinking through all of the implications.
“My only wish is that we have a tremendous amount of dialogue and that the coaches are included in that dialogue.”
One of the expansion scenarios that has been discussed in the SEC is Auburn possibly moving to the Eastern Division, which would probably mean that Alabama and Tennessee would no longer play every year.
“I just hope we don’t end some of these great traditions and rivalries,” Dooley said. “But if we keep going down this same path, I’m afraid that’s what is going to happen.”
