South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said Wednesday that starting safety DeVonte Holloman had not responded well to concussion tests and was doubtful for Saturday's game against Florida.
Holloman suffered a concussion in last week's loss to Arkansas along with quarterback Connor Shaw, whose concussion wasn't as serious. Spurrier said Shaw had been cleared medically and should be full go Wednesday at practice.
If Holloman can't go, freshman Brison Williams would be the starter at safety. The Gamecocks also expect to get back their leading tackler for this game. Spur linebacker Antonio Allen missed the Arkansas game with a strained neck.
