It appears that South Carolina's 16-10 win over No. 4-ranked Ole Miss on Thursday night came at a price.
Starting defensive tackle Travian Robertson injured his right knee in the game, and South Carolina officials fear that he tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. Robertson will undergo an MRI to be sure.
The Gamecocks had already lost middle linebacker Rodney Paulk to a season-ending ACL injury, and tackle Nathan Pepper has been slowed by knee and ankle problems.
Quarterback Stephen Garcia bruised his ribs in the game, but a scan didn't show any fractures. Garcia suffered the injury on a quarterback sneak in the first half and played through the pain the rest of the way. The State newspaper reported that he received a cortisone shot at halftime.
