LSU loses in-state linebacker

After going out of state Wednesday to pluck ESPNU 150 linebacker Kwon Alexander out of Oxford, Ala., LSU got some bad news on the linebacker front about an hour later.

Torshiro Davis of Shreveport, La., switched his commitment from LSU to Texas. The 6-3, 220-pound Davis had been committed to the Tigers for almost a year. He's ranked by ESPN as the No. 12 defensive end prospect in the country.

Linebacker help was at the top of LSU's wish list, and while losing Davis was a downer, the Tigers still have five or six players in this class who project as linebackers.
