Poll: Which QB needs the biggest spring?

LSU will be the first SEC team to kick off spring practice on Thursday, and a lot of eyes will be on junior quarterback Zach Mettenberger.

He takes over for departed seniors Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee, and already LSU coach Les Miles has said the Tigers will likely throw the ball more next season.

Mettenberger practiced with the team last season, but this spring is his first chance to be "The Man" and establish the kind of timing, chemistry and rhythm a quarterback needs to do with his receivers.

So, obviously, this is a big spring for Mettenberger.

What other quarterbacks in the SEC need a big spring?

We'll let you decide in our SportsNation poll.

The other four choices we came up with may or may not win their starting jobs next fall. But they can go a long way toward doing so by playing well this spring.

Jacoby Brissett has to beat out Jeff Driskel at Florida in a battle that will likely carry over into preseason practice.

Clint Moseley ended last season as Auburn's starter, but Kiehl Frazier should be a lot more equipped to win the job as a sophomore.

Jameill Showers played sparingly last season at Texas A&M, and with first-year coach Kevin Sumlin taking over, nothing is set in stone.

And at Ole Miss, junior college newcomer Bo Wallace is already enrolled and enters the spring as the front-runner, but you know first-year coach Hugh Freeze isn't going to just hand the job over to anybody. Wallace will have to earn it.

Tell us who you think needs the biggest spring. We'll go over the results in the next few days.
