Auburn's Wright to miss rest of spring

Auburn has taken another hit at defensive tackle this spring.

Coach Gene Chizik said Monday that sophomore Gabe Wright would miss the rest of spring after suffering an injury last Saturday in practice.

Wright was expected to push for a starting job along with Kenneth Carter, who's also out this spring after being injured in the offseason.

With both Wright and Carter out, that means sophomores Devaunte Sigler and Angelo Blackson will get a surplus of reps this spring. Both played in all 13 games last season as true freshmen.

Junior Jeffrey Whitaker is the starter at nose tackle, and he's going through this spring.
