SEC Players of the Week

The SEC office has announced its top performers for Week 5:


Charles Scott, RB, LSU: Rushed for a season-high 95 yards on 19 carries and scored two touchdowns, including the game-winner on a 33-yard run to beat Georgia 20-13.


Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama: Recorded a game-high 12 tackles in Alabama's 38-20 win over Kentucky and had a hand in three turnovers that led to 17 points for the Crimson Tide. His forced fumble led to a 45-yard return for a touchdown by Courtney Upshaw, and McClain also intercepted a pass and deflected a pass.


Wes Byrum, PK, Auburn: Accounted for 14 of Auburn's points, four field goals and two extra points, in the Tigers' 26-22 win at Tennessee. His four field goals were a career high and the most for an Auburn kicker since 2004.


John Jerry, OT, Ole Miss: Graded out at 85 percent in the running game and 97 percent in the passing game, while finishing with four knockdown blocks in the 23-7 win over Vanderbilt.


Tenarius Wright, DE, Arkansas: Finished with two tackles for loss, including a sack, in Arkansas' 47-19 win over Texas A&M. Also caused two fumbles, the first one coming with Texas A&M driving inside the Arkansas 10. Jerry Franklin scooped up the fumble and returned it 85 yards for a touchdown.


Onterio McCalebb, RB, Auburn: Accounted for 204 all-purpose yards in the 26-22 win over Tennessee, the most for an Auburn player this season. His 52-yard kickoff return set up the clinching field goal for the Tigers.
