The great playoff debate

The one thing just about everybody agrees on in college football is that a playoff of some sort is coming.

The great debate centers around how the teams will be selected for that playoff.

Some people want a selection committee to do the picking, and my colleague at ESPN.com, Gene Wojciechowski, makes a case on why that's the best way to go.

Others want no part of a selection committee and would rather tweak the BCS standings. That's my stance, that a selection committee would be an utter disaster.

ESPN.com's Heather Dinich takes a deeper look at what the blueprint would look like for a selection committee.

The next round of meetings is almost here. This is when it gets interesting.
